Hazardous Waste Energy Recovery

The US Hazardous Waste Energy Recovery Sector continued to provide services at all 12 commercially permitted facilities in the fourth–quarter 2022. The overall fourth quarter reported receipts by the energy recovery facilities were approximately the same as the previous three years. However, the various individual energy recovery facilities had significant differences between their reported receipts in the fourth quarters in 2022 and 2021. “Based on the fourth quarter reported receipts, the final amount used as fuel in 2022 will exceed 1,000, 000 tons” per Cary Perket, the report’s principal researcher.
